Beach Mile 2024 - July 27 in Glücksburg

It was back again, the popular beach mile on the Sandwig spa beach and Germany's northernmost event that is simply fun.
What could be better than a day of great summer fun on the promenade right by the beach?

The 16th Strandmeile in Glücksburg invited over 6,000 visitors throughout the day to enjoy this eventful summer event on the beautiful Baltic Sea. The weather gods provided blue skies and warm summer temperatures. Young and old alike enjoyed the colorful program of the beach mile, which ran parallel to life on the beach.

Big and small had a lot of fun. The knights' bouncy castle was the place to be from early on for the very youngest to hold hands or for the kids to jump around on their own, and many proved to be accurate at the soccer darts. Employees of the DLRG painted colorful, imaginative decorations on the faces of the little ones and so you could see cutely decorated, happy children enjoying the day. Stalls with street food, fish sandwiches, soft ice cream, slush ice and crêpes invited visitors to enjoy culinary delights. Cool and colorful drinks quenched the thirst.

An activity program took place on the Glücksburg stage from midday onwards: Local athletes and groups presented a colorful entertainment program.
The audience eagerly took part in Jan Kruse's moderated activity program on stage. The dynamic trainer from fitvibes presented simple exercises that can be used to increase fitness. And the audience joined in!

Christin Olsen's dancers, who train at TanzGlück, brought pure joie de vivre and happiness to the stage with their creative dances. Inclusion is a top priority in the dance studio's workshops and dance courses. The performance with hula hoops also delighted the audience and left them amazed and in awe.

Cloth acrobatics at lofty heights on stage

The athletes from POLEDANCE! - Flensburg showed extraordinary aerial acrobatics demonstrations with pole dance, frame aerial ring and vertical scarf. Visitors later had ample opportunity to try out the sports equipment for themselves in the Kurpark.

Patrick Park from America sang gentle ballads

The well-known American singer and songwriter Patrick Park performed with relaxed summery sounds: "Life is a song", "Something pretty" and "Here we are" are the songs with which the likeable bard has made a name for himself internationally. His gentle voice made many a person feel deep feelings of happiness with a happy hour drink.

Laith Al-Deen & Band on the Strandmeile 2024

The evening then saw the absolute musical highlight, as Laith Al-Deen performed live with his outstanding band. He performed songs from his latest album "Dein Begleiter". But he also had well-known songs such as "Bilder von Dir" and "Dein Lied" in his repertoire and the audience sang along with great joy. Hundreds pulled out their cell phones to take pictures. Frenetic applause and huge cheers expressed the great enthusiasm

The bombastic fireworks display following the concert heightened the wonderful atmosphere even more, rounded off the evening and brought the wonderful day of Strandmeile 2024 to a perfect close!
