Glücksburg Forest Museum

Nature enthusiasts can discover interesting facts about the local flora and fauna in the forest museum. In the front part of the museum, 120 animal specimens are on display. Whether birds of prey or songbirds, ducks or herons, the bird life of the Glücksburg Forest is also represented. The largest room in the museum is dedicated to plants and presents 30 different tree trunks for visitors to touch. A third room contains a collection of local artists working on the theme of the forest. Visitors can put their knowledge of the green habitat to the test in a short forest quiz.

Opening hours:
April 1 to October 31
Saturday and Sunday from 11.00 to 16.00
Admission: free of charge! Donations for the maintenance and renovation of the museum are very welcome.

Wild boar enclosure

The wild boar is actually a nocturnal animal, but in the wild boar enclosure it is often active during the day. And although the wild boars have been native to Glücksburg for 30 years, we almost lost them. It took an appeal for donations to raise the money needed to completely renovate their enclosure. This enabled the fencing to be renewed, new plants to be planted and a species-appropriate shelter to be built. The wild boar enclosure has been a popular excursion destination ever since. A particularly popular time for visitors begins in May, when the young boar frolic through the wild boar enclosure and are admired not only by children.

Climate park artefact

The artefact climate park in Glücksburg aims to provide inspiration for mastering the climate crisis and implementing a personal energy transition. And the whole thing is set up in a playful and exciting way for young and old, with over 40 stations where energy is made tangible. Who will win the race to generate the most energy - the bicycle drive or the solar panel? And how can I create my very own balcony power plant? You can find out all this and much more on your tour of the Adventure Energy Park.

Two paths lead you through the park. On the black trail, you will experience the conversion of one form of energy into another. If you choose the gray trail, you can prepare yourself for a special kind of "mudflat hike". The sundial opens the yellow trail and guides you through questions about the effective use of fossil and renewable energy.

Discover the possibilities of sustainable energy at first hand and visit the artefact climate park! For groups, school classes or children's birthday parties, you can also book other activities such as the power park rally or the energy quiz for inventors.
